Traffic Citations, DUI, Shoplifting, and Marijuana Charges in the Brookhaven Municipal Court
Brookhaven is one of the incorporated cities within DeKalb County, Georgia. They have their own police department to protect and serve Brookhaven citizens. Brookhaven PD monitors the roads and responds to calls within the city limits. They can issue traffic citations for speeding, accidents, driving without a license, no insurance, driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence, hit and run, and all other traffic violations under the Georgia Uniform Rules of the Road. They can also issue citations for Theft by Shoplifting, Possession of Marijuana less than One Ounce, and local ordinance violations like disorderly conduct. These violations will all be initially handled at the Brookhaven Municipal Court.
The Brookhaven Municipal Court is located at 2665 Buford Highway, Brookhaven, Georgia 30319. There are two judges that serve at the Brookhaven Municipal Court, Chief Judge Jonathan Granade and Senior Judge Laura Stevenson. The court is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday if you need information about a ticket, but court is only held at specified times during the week.
