Traffic Citations, DUI, Minor in Possession, Marijuana, and Shoplifting in the Johns Creek Municipal Court

The city of Johns Creek Georgia is located in North Fulton County surrounded by the cities of Roswell, Alpharetta, Peachtree Corners, and Duluth. The Johns Creek Municipal Court is located in their new city hall building at 11360 Lakefield Drive, Johns Creek Georgia 30097. The Johns Creek Municipal Court handles traffic citations, DUI charges, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Theft by Shoplifting, Misdemeanor Marijuana Possession charges, and city ordinance violations that occur in the city limits of Johns Creek. The city of Johns Creek has their own police department which patrols the city’s streets and neighborhoods. The Chief Judge of the Johns Creek Municipal Court is Donald Schaefer and the city solicitor who handles prosecution of criminal violations for the Johns Creek Municipal Court is Larry Delan.

The Johns Creek Municipal Court clerk’s office is open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. The Court’s website lists a number of offenses that they consider “must appear” offenses, meaning you cannot pay them in advance of your court date, and you must appear in court to resolve your case. These offenses are:

Aggressive driving, All city nuisance/code enforcement offenses, All under 21 offenses, All accident offenses, All alcohol offenses(except Open Container), Any other charge that may result in jail time and/or license suspension, Fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, Disorderly conduct, Furnishing alcohol to a minor, DUI (driving under the influence), Hit & run, Habitual violator offense, No insurance, No license, Passing a loading/unloading school bus, Possession of alcohol by a minor, Possession of a concealed weapon, Racing, Reckless driving, Shoplifting, Speeding more than 30 MPH over posted speed limit, Driving with suspended registration, Driving with suspended license, Vehicular homicide/serious injury, Misdemeanor possession or marijuana
