DUI, Traffic Citations, and Minor in Possession in the Alpharetta Municipal Court

The Alpharetta Municipal Court handles traffic citations, DUI charges, minor in possession charges, shoplifting, and misdemeanor marijuana violations within the city limits of Alpharetta. Most citations are issued by the Alpharetta Police Department, but some may also be issued by the Georgia State Patrol. The Alpharetta Municipal Court is currently being held in Milton. The address is: 13690 Highway 9, Building B, Milton, GA 30004. Most of the charges originating in the Alpharetta Municipal Court are traffic violations including speeding, suspended license, no insurance, and car accident violations. Many of these citations require at least one court appearance to resolve. The Alpharetta Municipal Court also hears a lot of Minor in Possession Charges as well as Disorderly Conduct Violations stemming from the amphitheater at Encore Park in Alpharetta.

The Alpharetta Municipal Court has a “hold and clear” program for first time offenders of certain offenses like minor in possession, marijuana, and shoplifting offenses. This program will allow you to complete a program that if successfully completed will keep a conviction off your record and allow for record restriction of your arrest. In my experience, having an attorney represent you in Alpharetta Municipal Court will expedite the hearing of your case, potentially avoid unnecessary appearances in court, and achieve the best possible outcome in your case.

The Alpharetta Municipal Court is open Monday through Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. Court is held on Tuesdays for arraignments at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m, Wednesdays for arraignments at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m and Thursdays for pleas, trials, and motions at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. If you have any questions or wish to schedule a consultation to discuss your upcoming court date in the Alpharetta Municipal Court, call me today at 678-753-6431.
